Frequently Asked Questions

Is one-on-one nutrition counseling included?

No. The Nutrition Video Presentations are pre-recorded and present general education about select topics. The Community Nutrition Classes are virtual small group classes that allow for Q&A via chat as well as follow-up questions to the presenting dietitian via email. However, personalized nutrition guidance is not provided.

The on-demand lectures and virtual small group classes are meant for general education, not to manage disease states. Please refer to your primary care provider for your personal recommendations or schedule a nutrition consultation with a Cooper Clinic registered dietitian nutritionist.

Will I receive a meal plan or meal ideas?

Educational handouts will be provided to supplement the video presentations and virtual classes. The handouts vary by topic but could include meal ideas, grocery lists, and more.

What if I have questions about content presented?

For more information on our content, please book a nutrition consultation and receive 10% off your first session.

Does Cooper Clinic Nutrition offer in-person courses?

No, only on-demand lectures and virtual small group classes are offered currently. For an individualized nutrition consultation, visit cooperclinicnutrition.com.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, HSA/FSA is accepted.

What is the difference between a registered dietitian nutritionist and just a nutritionist?

All dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians.

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) is a legally protected title for a food and nutrition expert. Rigorous training and education, including a master’s degree, is required as of 2024. Their training includes 1,200 hours of supervised practice through an approved Dietetic Internship and passing a national exam. Credentials are upheld by a required amount of continuing education hours.

If I cannot make one of the sessions, do I get my money back?

Sessions will be recorded and sent after all four sessions are complete. They will be available for viewing for one (1) week after the last session.
